== History ==
After summoning [[Alcor the Dreambender]], Jan made a deal with the demon in turn for his experimentation with raising the dead. This resulted in a 24 year period of demonic relations, ultimately ending in Jan's death. Throughout this time, Jan and Alcor worked together to resurrect dead bodies, bully corrupt politicians, and commit other minor acts of supernatural antics. In 3120, Jan gave up his soul and was gruesomely murdered by Alcor, in what is considered an oddity in the field of Alcorian study.<ref>{{AO3Citation|gawain_in_green|Judgment Day|2019|https://archiveofourown.org/works/21928135}}</ref>

== Personality ==
Jan Faust is inspired by Doctor Faustus, the titular character of the 1592 play by Christopher Marlowe. Jan briefly dedicated himself to the medicine field before hurtling headfirst into demonology, and devotes himself to teaching as well as practicing. He wants to change the world, consumed by his obsessions regarding [[necromancy]] and the occult. Jan is somewhat of a stubborn man, and reserved, keeping a relatively low academic and personal profile for most of his life. He once considered marriage, but didn't exactly have a ready partner, nor was he particularly interested in the economic hassle of it all.

The Stanley Pines Memorial Library was created after the Transcendence. Originally, it was the Mystery Shack simply repurposed to a library. But when the Mystery Shack gained sentience, grew legs and ran away, a new building had to be constructed.

Luckily, they had been moving out the books out of the old Library because an annoying hex had gotten to the books and they were leaking the colours of their covers.

The only books that were lost were not THAT valuable.

Mallory was born to two morticians who operated [[Quicksilver Funeral Home and Crematory]] in the [[Californian Island Federation]]. Mallory was a troubled teenager, often getting in fights with her parents and shoplifting with her friends, Harrison Collins and Angeline. She cared deeply about her friends and grew increasingly concerned and angry at the physical abuse Harrison experienced from his father. Knowing her parents possessed an illegal demonology book, she formulated a plan to have [[Alcor the Dreambender]] kill Harrison's father so he could stay with his mother instead. Harrison agreed to this, and Angeline agreed to help.

The night of the summoning, Angeline and Harrison snuck into Mallory's house while her parents and Dipper were away. As Alcor had sealed himself away, the summoning went wrong as another demon came through the circle and killed Angeline. Though Mallory was shocked by her friend's sudden death, she quickly formulated a plan to cremate Angeline's body and pretend she ran away, and intimidated Harrison into going along with this. Though this was successful, her relationship with Harrison had been permanently fractured and the two stopped speaking. Mallory met [[Gemma Gleeful]] later in high school.

Mallory was excited to attend college, but shortly after she began, she had to fly home and care for her father who suffered a stroke. She also needed to assist her mother with their struggling family funeral home. Growing resentful and desperate to escape this situation, Mallory turned to her old friend Harrison, who had spiraled into a life of crime after Angeline and was out on parole. She blackmailed him into robbing a local jewelry store, planning to use the profits to subsidise her father's care.

Instead, the robbery went wrong and Harrison had to secretly hide in someone's apartment using the invisibility charm Mallory provided him with. After being discovered by Dipper, Harrison fled to Mallory. Mallory, having convinced herself that he was dangerous and desperate to keep her criminal deeds from coming out, murdered him and cremated him in her family's machine.

Mallory grew increasingly volatile and paranoid. When Dipper appeared to be close to finding a clue to Harrison's disappearance, she framed his classmate [[Xiaofan]] to make it seem like she had hidden him in her apartment.

Mallory continued to struggle with the funeral home's desperate financial situation and the realities of long-term care for her father. She attempted to extort Harrison's abusive father by framing him in a similar manner to Xiaofan, but ended up murdering him in a rage. She summoned the demon [[Ianitor]] to escape from the police, and ended up being forced to dispose of any bodies he provided to her.

This effectively chained Mallory to the funeral home she was so desperately trying to escape, and ended her aspirations of returning to college. She covered up the bodies and the money Ianitor was providing by claiming she had started a lucrative online cremation service. Her parents, proud that Mallory had revived their business and was apparently excited to continue in their footsteps, made her co-owner.

== Physical Description ==
During his sister's life, Dipper ages alongside her, keeping himself 1-2 inches taller (although he can change his form). He has wavy brown hair and glowing gold eyes with black scleras. During his early stages of demonhood, he developed sharpened teeth, pointed ears, and wings which sprout from his lower back. He wears a black suit with a top hat, black gloves and black shoes. Over time, he starts to stray away from the triangle theme that was taken from Bill Cipher and moves towards a star motif that fit his own demon alias.

Under certain circumstances, such as intense rage, Dipper can take on an even more demonic form in which the entirety of his body darkens to a black silhouette crisscrossed with golden brickwork lines. He has an object form, which is the shape of a one eyed star with bat wings.

== Personality ==
In many ways, Dipper retains the personality he had when he was a human boy. For a demon, he can be quite caring when it comes to summons regarding children,<ref>{{AO3Citation|Seiya234|Shooting Stars, chapter 71|2014|https://archiveofourown.org/works/2421911/chapters/7387448}}</ref> and he still enjoys spending time with his sister and her family.

However, Dipper displays a more menacing and morbid side of his personality at times. If pushed too far, may even lose himself to demonic instincts for a time. His personality changes greatly over the course of his immortality, going through periods of more cruel and typical demonic reigns that are always connected with a lack of human interaction. He tendes to be the worst in between Mizar's lifetimes, but reconnecting with her - and others - always brings back his more human side.

Dipper has no interest in romantic or sexual relationships, and identifies as asexual and aromantic. == Powers ==
Dipper had basically all the abilities that Bill had, such as summoning blue flames on a whim, entering people's dreams, and possessing a limited form of omniscience. However, in general, he was much stronger, solely due to the fact that he was once human and retains a natural affinity for the physical plane. For example, most binding circles that should restrain even the most powerful of demons could be easily broken by Dipper. As a demon, he had the Sight and was an Empath, like Willow. Additionally, unlike most normal demons, after around a century he gained the power to maintain a corporeal form whenever he chose.

Eventually, he gained the means to travel between worlds and dimensions, but he prefers to use it as little as possible. This is partially because the energy toll is immense. Dimension hopping risks hurting not only himself but also the fabric of space-time. Though he originally inherited the powers of a typical dream demon, Dipper quickly evolved to encompass just about any demonic talent. This stemmed from his power of dreams, that were now brought into reality due to his affinity for the physical realm. He still had his strong and weak points, however, and was generally affected more by things specifically made to target dream demons.

His overall raw power continued to build over the centuries, until he reached the point where he could no longer be considered a demon, but a god. It continued to grow exponentially from there, reaching and exceeding truly apocalyptic levels. Unfortunately, it came with the side effect of not allowing him to safely interact with the physical world like he used to.

Like other demons, Dipper can be summoned to the physical plane using a summoning circle and an incantation. He is said to have a number of circles that he gives out for different purposes, and he can tell which circle is being used when he is summoned. He later on even allows him to take care of Maddie, one of Mabel's reincarnations, which demonstrates just how much he really trusts Toby.

When they first meet, Toby is scared of Alcor, and expresses guilt for what he did in his past lives. Eventually Toby grows to love Dipper, and knows Dipper truly cares for him.

Xiaofan's voicemail accusations lead Gemma to suspect that [[Lucy Ann]] is the demon summoner they have been looking for.

Knowing that Lucy Ann will flee the country if she is directly confronted, Gemma instead pretends to work with Lucy Ann and Dipper. Pretending that her vampire-hunting uncle needs to be scared out of town, she and the other demonology students manage to capture her. However, the plan goes wrong when the [[The Woodsman|Woodsman]] appears, injures Dipper, and allows Lucy Ann to escape.

== History ==
A servantwoman in Babylonian Uruk, Šikkû rescued Lucy Ann from captivity and fled with her. They traveled together for a few years, posing as mother and daughter. Lucy Ann was at first reluctant to make Šikkû a vampire despite her frequent requests, but gave in when she was dying of dysentery.

After her turning, Šikkû began learning everything she could. She studied literature and mathematical theorems, as well as a vast range of physical skills from metalworking to luteplaying to 3D printing. She traveled widely at first, but gradually became more reclusive, especially after the invention of the internet and the [[Transcendence]] removed most of her reasons for needing to stay on the move.

Her and Lucy Ann crossed paths many times over the ages. She once hid Lucy Ann from the Macedonian armies. During the events of "Return, to the Scene of the Crime", Lucy Ann comes to stay with her.

She currently resides in Samawah, Iraq, a city close to the ruins of Uruk.

Harrison agreed to this, and Angeline agreed to help.

The night of the summoning, Angeline and Harrison snuck into Mallory's house while her parents and Dipper were away. As Alcor had sealed himself away, the summoning went wrong as another demon came through the circle and killed Angeline. Though Mallory was shocked by her friend's sudden death, she quickly formulated a plan to cremate Angeline's body and pretend she ran away, and intimidated Harrison into going along with this. Though this was successful, her relationship with Harrison had been permanently fractured and the two stopped speaking. Mallory met [[Gemma Gleeful]] later in high school.

Mallory was excited to attend college, but shortly after she began, she had to fly home and care for her father who suffered a stroke. Alioth is a demon originally created by a reincarnation of Old Man McGucket, and later employed as [[Dipper Pines|Alcor]]’s assistant.

== Personality ==
Alioth has a love of mischief and a penchant for chaos. Their sense of humor runs more towards memes than murder, but are more than willing to carry out more demonic actions.

== History ==
They were originally created by a reincarnation of Old Man McGucket, and programmed to make all deals they carried out as fair as possible.They were able to sustain themselves by taking other demon’s summonings, until taking one of Alcor’s, prompting Alcor to seek out and question them. During this meeting Alioth offered to be Alcor’s assistant, and Alcor accepted. From this deal they became a “real” demon, as well as gaining a new appearance.

== Appearance ==
Alioth’s original form was a floating, shifting shadow in the vague shape of a humanoid, with a tetrahedron floating in the hollow of their chest, and eyes that glow with pale golden light.

After their deal with Alcor, their appearance shifted to become more humanoid, dressed in a black jacket with coat tails, collared shirt and bow, and a floating top hat adorned with Alcor’s winged star. They have a starburst-shaped crystal spinning in the hollow of their left breast.The only facial features they have are wide eyes accompanied by a half-moon smile. Their “skin” resembles shiny black carapace, with tapered, pointy limbs, static arms that appear as needed, and leathery wings. All in all, Aloith looks like a misshapen version of Alcor’s symbol.

* For working as Alcor’s assistant, Aloith is paid a sixteenth of a quadrillionth of a percent of his power, and .08 percent of the spoils from every deal they make.
* Alioth and Alcor’s deal is that Alioth will take any of Alcor’s summonings that aren’t answered. The deals they make must be fair, unless the proposed deal is intended to cause unwarranted harm, in which case their terms can be as unfair as they’d like.

Mallory is a less friendly Mizar than those before her; prickly and jealous that she's unable to go to college, she tends to snipe at Dipper and her family. Despite this, she does care about them, and she can often be warm towards her brother.

She has a cruel streak she tries to keep hidden from them throughout the events of the story.
