He disliked hiking and the outdoors as a child, but grew to love them after meeting Ghali.

	Drephl ~~Grew~~ up ~~very~~ close with his twin brother Frihl, ~~but~~ became ~~estranged later in life from conflicting lifestyles~~. He ~~moved~~ in ~~with~~ his ~~best friend~~ Ghali after graduation, and ~~at 22 they got~~ married for financial reasons~~. They had~~ a child together ~~using~~ a ~~recent technology~~ designed for same-sex couples, and ~~co-parented~~. ~~The two of them moved into~~ their daughter~~'s neighborhood when their grandchild~~ was born, ~~and would babysit regularly~~. ~~Ghali died at 83~~, and ~~Drephl~~ died at 87.		Drephl grew up close with his twin brother Frihl, raised by their father, as their mother was absent. He had trouble making friends as a child, and buried himself in books, namely ones about the Transcendence and magic. He and Frihl went to school at ten, where he became even more isolated, struggling with violent thoughts. He joined the Magic Research club, making new friends and coming out of his shell, even quieting those thoughts. He gained an interest in demonology, but was quickly shut down by his family.

			When he was seventeen he joined the book club, meeting Ghali. They hit it off right away, and moved in together after graduation, when Drephl started to work finding and translating legally dubious scriptures. They married for financial reasons, and eventually chose to have a child together. Their first choice was to adopt, but their government didn’t allow cross-species couples to do so. Instead they started saving money for “Looming”, a process designed for same-sex couples, where a couple could send over DNA, and have a child grown in an artificial womb.

			When their daughter Rleiph was born, he got a job working at the parks, to spend more time with her. When Rleiph had a family of her own, he and Ghali moved into her neighborhood to help out. He died at 87.
