Ghali lived in the Republic of Ombre. She met Drephl when they were 17 at a school book club, and hit it off right away, soon becoming best friends and eventually moving in together. After finishing school, Ghali decided to continue her education online, becoming a programmer.

			After some time of living together, she and Drephl chose to marry for financial reasons and several years later, they chose to have a child together. They tried to adopt, but their government didn’t allow cross-species couples to adopt, and instead saved up the money to “Loom” a child, a process where a couple would send in DNA, and the child would be grown in an artificial womb. When their daughter Rleiph was born, Ghali got a job in cybersecurity.

			When Rleiph had a family of her own, Ghali and Drephl moved into the same neighborhood to help out. She died at 83. After her death her body was illegally transformed into a tree sapling through nymph magic.
