			An alternate interpretation of Toby's story follows similar origins, Toby is adopted by Alcor following the death of his twin sister. Her death was caused by the burning of their orphanages, set by the demon Kryptos and his gang. Kryptos sought to kidnap Toby and use him to eventually resurrect Bill and get revenge on Dipper. In this version, Toby has not yet sustained the injury to his eye, but otherwise has a similar physical description.

			Toby was adopted at a young age and had his memory erased of any previous events. Dipper took on a human disguise, continuing with the alias of 'Tyrone Pines', and not allowing Toby to know about his true identity. He did this believing that allowing Toby to have the most normal and loving childhood possible would offer Bill a second chance at redemption. Their relationship was healthy, with Dipper being a loving and devoted father, though still hesitant about Bill's potential return.
