The So You Want To Be a Demonologist Arc, abbreviated as SYWTBAD, follows Dipper's college experience as a demonology major. It introduces his college friends Thomas Strange, Maria Dewitt, Brad Hallman, and Eduardo Noguerra, as well as their rival, Elisabeth Adams.
