Florence is an elderly woman who summons Dipper Pines to help her around the house.

Personality

Florence is self-assured and rather brave, as she sees no problem with summoning a demon to help her around the house, instead only worrying that the demon might not be tall enough to reach the high shelves. She can be rather mean, such as when she told Dipper not to wear his human disguise when they went shopping, because she wanted to scare passersby. She is also fairly lonely because her family stopped spending time with her, and this has made her bitter and resentful toward them.

Abilities

She is an excellent cook. Before she retired, she used to travel Europe and America, working for various high-cuisine restaurants.

History

Much of Florence's early life is unknown.

At some point after she'd grown old, it became too difficult for her to live on her own. Rather than go to an assisted living facility or hire a helper, she decided to summon a demon to help her around the house. She summoned Dipper, and made a deal with him to provide him with home-cooked desserts in exchange for assisting her. Dipper recognized how lonely she was, and the two of them formed a friendship.

Eventually, Florence grew sick enough that she was hospitalized. She summoned Dipper one last time, who told her that she had a few years of life remaining but that she'd spend them vegetative. He proposed a deal with her that would allow her to live out her final years in good health, in exchange for a valuable memory of hers. She accepted this deal, and Dipper took away all of her memories of him. He then brought her to live in Gravity Falls with him and his family, where she spent the rest of her life in happiness and health.
