The United Life Empire, or the UL, is an intergalactic government that appears in the Transcendence AU in Space Arc. It expands into multiple galaxies during its Great Expansion period, and then gradually dissolves into a pro-nat dystopia and fades from existence.[1]
History
The UL exists in various forms for billions of years. It begins with the best of intentions, as an organisation to unite the increasing number of spacefaring species humanity encounters as they enter the Space Age. With the increasingly limitless power of advancing technology and the relatively weak potential of human magicians, magic is seen as quaint and unnecessary from the beginning.
