Thomas Strange is a demonologist and a friend of Dipper's. He is prominent in the SYWTBAD Arcs
History
As a child, Thomas was fond of baking just like his father. His father wanted him to go on to inherit the family's bakery, but Thomas' life was changed when he discovered a demonology textbook at his aunt and uncle's house. After that, Thomas was obsessed with demons and spent a disproportionate amount of time studying them. His parents were disappointed, but let him pursue the things he loved. His passion for demons led to him enrolling in a demonology course at the same college that Dipper chose to attend.[1]

Tyrone Evergreen (Dipper Pines)
Dipper goes to college with Thomas under the name "Tyrone Evergreen." Thomas doesn't learn of his friend's true identity until they are nearing graduation. Tyrone's defining characteristic in Thomas' mind is that he's the weirdest person in their class, which is a real acheivement in a demonology course.
