Template:Character Toby is the second reincarnation of Bill Cipher, placing him after Ian in the timeline.
History
He and his twin sister were orphans but were raised in a cloister/church, until said cloister/church burned down. He lost his twin in the fire and the left side of his face was left blind and with severe burns.
After that, he was left o fend for himself on the streets. Even though he barely managed to find enough food for himself, he still fed what he could to stray animals he had befriended. Various supernatural beings followed him to take revenge on Bill, being the main source of his bad luck.
Dipper found him starving and suffering on the streets. After Ian, he'd been waiting for a chance to get some revenge on Bill cipher's next reincarnation. Thus, he expected to be content just to watch Karma do it's work.
However, Toby just so happened to be the most saintly, innocent, pathetic child one could imagine. Even Dipper couldn't find it in himself to just leave out on the streets. He takes Toby in, and even legally adopts him under the alias of 'Tyrone'.
After Dipper took him in, the supernatural forces that had been tormenting him behind the scenes were scared enough to leave him alone. Upon being adopted, Toby finally got a medical check up, were he was officially diagnosed with asthma. Dipper made sure that he got properly treated, went to school, ate well, and was happy.
Note: In some stories, he went into fostering before he landed on the streets. He ran away because of the abuse he received.
After some time raising Toby, he gradually comes to like him and even subconsciously think of hm as his son- not that he ever admits it, even to himself. He repeatedly tells himself that everything he does for Toby isn't for his sake or because he cares about it; it's only to ensure that he doesn't turn out like Bill, despite that outcome already being incredibly unlikely.
Toby would later on become Maddie's babysitter, as well as something like a big brother to her.
Sadly, he dies young.
Personality
Toby has very low self esteem. He thinks everything is always his fault, even when it isn't. Sometimes, this extends to the point of almost being self centered, as he thinks everything sort of revolves around him (even if it's a negitive way). This can lead to him getting involved in problems that have nothing to do with him at all. He also has a tendency to expect the worst in any given situation. Overall, however, he's a ridiculously sweet child, and would never hurt anyone intentionally.
Looks
He has blond hair and severe burn scars on one side of his face making him blind on one eye, normally depicted as the left one. He later on gets a new eye.Some theorized his artificial eye resembles that of Bipper, but it's more likely that he simply received a normal looking prosthetic. As an adult, he is taller than Dipper. Most draw and describe him as cute, innocent looking child.

- He is allergic to cinnamon.

- He has asthma.
- He has the sight so he can see auras, but only negative ones. This is because he doesn’t have function in the eye that perceives good auras.
- He is very good at reading people, especially Alcor.
- He is fairly proficient at knitting.

- Dipper legally adopted Toby under his guise as Tyrone.
- Toby couldn't decide between calling Alcor "Tyrone" or "dad" so he just said "Dadrone". It stuck.

Relationships
Alcor / Dipper Pines
Dipper hates Bill and his soul for ruining for various things like making him a demon and the Ian incident , so obviously he doesn't like Toby at first and just wants to watch karma do it's work and enjoy . After watching Toby for a while he starts to feel sorry for him and takes him in . He tells himself that he is taking care of Toby and spoiling him to make sure that Toby doesn't start acting like Bill , but he acctually loves Toby like the son he never had and is just being tsundere about it . He later on even lets him take care of maddie , one of mabel's reincarnations , which shows just how much he really trusts Toby .
When they first meet Toby is scared of Alcor , though he feels extremely sorry for what he did in his past lifes . Toby loves Dipper and knows that he is just bring tsundere about it .
Maddie
Maddie is one of Mabel's reincarnations and was taking in by Alcor after Toby moved out . Toby has been babysitting her since she was just a baby so he is like a big brother for her .
