Martin Foley is a Mizar who encounters Alcor in his late 40's. He is divorced, and has a daughter called Ashley.[1]
Physical Description
Martin has short, grey-brown hair with male pattern baldness. He often wears leopard print dressing gowns and crocs.
Due to being trampled on by sheep when he worked at a petting zoo, he can't lift his arm over his head without difficulty.
Personality
Martin is a kind-hearted, rather clueless man who can come off as strange or annoying to the people in his life. He is very impulsive, bordering on reckless, and often embarks on activities like summoning a demon without thinking through how it might affect those around him.
He is almost always well-intentioned, and he would do anything for a friend, but his thoughtlessness can make him a difficult person to have a relationship with.
History
Martin married his wife, Eleanor and had a daughter with her. Their marriage was strained by Martin's gambling habits, and they separated shortly after he lost two thousand dollars at a casino. He lived out of his car for several months after the divorce, taking Ashley to casinos on weekends, and it was on one of these weekends that he summoned Alcor hoping to impress her.
Alcor was at first drawn in by Martin's affable personality and his identity as a reincarnation of Mizar, but after he lost more money at the casino and endangered his daughter, he became more aware of Martin's flaws. After confronting Martin on his reckless behavior and how it was driving away his family, Alcor agreed to help him find a place to stay.
The two of them ended up renting an apartment together.
