Pooter is a Maine-Coon cat that Mabel and Henry Pines adopt once their children are grown up.[1] Henry rescues him from the Roadkill County Animal Shelter while he's still a kitten, and though the shelter had initially named him Terry, Mabel changes his name to Pooter after three days.[2]
