She was abandoned by her parents, so Dipper took her in and raised her . He wanted her to grow up normally so she only found out that her Dad was a Alcor the dreambender after she was kidnapped by an alcorian cult .
She sees Tobias Pines aka Toby as her big brother , and was always babysitted by him when she was little . He had just moved out when she was adopted by Dipper .
Appearance
She is typically depicted as a young black girl, though some drawings depict her looking much like Mabel.
