Gemma Fink
Gemma Fink is a co-ringleader in the New Portland chapter of the Circle of the Dreamer’s Star. She and her husband Tom run an ice cream shop as a front for the Circle’s meetings.[1]
Physical description
Gemma is Black and has tight curly hair that she prefers to wear in an afro.
Personality
Gemma has a strong intuition and a desire to protect people. While serious and focused, she also has a relaxed sense of humor. Gemma often takes the lead in the relationship with Tom. She is generally kind-hearted, patient, and connects easily with others.
History
Gemma rescued and assisted Fang Wu, a Mizar, while she was fleeing the Order of Exorcists. Gemma was the first one to notice Fang hiding behind the ice cream shop. She and Tom explained the Circle’s lore and their beliefs about Alcor, encouraging Fang to repair her relationship with Dipper. However, since demon worship is illegal in New Portland, both Gemma and Tom were arrested by the Order of Exorcists. To repay them for their kindness, Dipper broke Gemma and Tom out of jail and covered up the entire event. She and Tom continue to help Fang when she tried to learn more about Mizar, and figure out why she has memories of her past life.
Gemma is also the co-keeper of a book called The Record of the Second Star, which keeps track of and theorizes about Mizar incarnations.
