Humans are the most common and widespread sentient non-magical beings native to the planet Earth. Shortly after the Transcendence made magical beings (or preters) commonplace, some humans, known as pro-nats, advocated against their integration into human society.[1] Although humans are not inherently magical as a species, rarely, some humans are born with psychic abilities or an ability to sense magic, a phenomenon which is broadly known as the Sight.[2] After the Transcendence, through applied study, humans learn to use magic and incorporate it into their daily lives.[3]
