Magic storm

A magic storm is an unpredictable surge of energy that strengthens the link between the physical world and the Mindscape. They are generally disastrous because they affect so many things, and can also give dangerous supernatural entities more power. Some storms are even able to create random portals that allow powerful demons to enter the physical realm for a period of time without a summons or contract.[1]
These storms vary in severity, from affecting only a single town and only causing a few preters to lose their minds, to apocalyptic events that cover half the globe. These more intense storms are part of why civilization occasionally gets set back by decades or even centuries.
