Virginia Corduroy is Arnold Corduroy and Manly Dan's mother. She, like her husband Albert, came from a long line of loggers, builders, brawlers and alcoholics. She and her husband had nine children: Little Al, Curtis, John, Rene, Ed, Lake, Dan, Bertina, and Arnold, and they would have had more, had Virginia not put her foot down after the birth of her youngest child left her at death's door.
Though she was not a good mother to her children, she was (at least according to her granddaughter Wendy) an excellent grandmother, and possessed a biting wit.[1]
In some versions of canon, however, Virginia's husband (and Arnold and Dan's father) is actually a man named Henry "Hawk" Corduroy, after whom Henry Pines was presumably named.
Trivia
- After her death, Virginia's house passed down to her daughter Bertina.[1]
