Florian Hawthorne
Florian Hawthorne is a reincarnation of Wendy Corduroy that is known to be a "walking disaster".[1]
Physical description
Florian is a half-elf, and thus has pointed ears. He wears his hair in a ponytail. He has a number of ear piercings, which he admits are actually clip-ons.[1] He is 5'11".[2]
Personality
Florian appears very cool in passing, but it's only skin-deep. He constantly trips over his own feet, walks into walls, and is known to constantly say embarrassing and/or bizarrely silly things in complete earnest. He faints at the sight of blood.[1] Despite this, he's pretty emotionally intelligent, and he's good at helping other people work through tough emotions.[3]
Powers
He is a negative empath, which means that he can sense negative emotions from people.[2] He is proficient in magic (and can use it for self-defense if absolutely necessary), but it is sacred to him, so he tends to only use it for spiritual purposes, such as meditation.[4] When activated, their magic manifests as glowing patterns along their face and hands and glowing strings they can use to bind and contain.[5] Florian's magic is of a variety that Alcor is unfamiliar with at this stage in his life.[6]
Relationships
Alcor the Dreambender
Alcor the Dreambender considers him to have "no sense of self-preservation", as he was only momentarily afraid of the demon before taking him at his word that he's nicer than most demons. Despite this, he displays some amount of fondness for Florian, and has taken it upon himself to ensure that he doesn't randomly get into trouble and die. Florian also appears to enjoy Alcor's company, going so far to call him and Alcor "pony twins" because they both wear their hair in ponytails.[1]
Georgi
Georgi is Florian's roommate.[7]
Trivia
- Florian is a very good pastry chef, to the point where they will sometimes bake for competitions.[8]
- His dad is a therapist.[3]
- Every time he goes to the beach, he and Georgi bet on how many disasters will happen to him.[9]
